Newstead Summer Camp Online Registration

Campers will investigate various concepts in math, science and nature through inquiry play-based activities, games and crafts designed to stimulate their natural curiosity. Campers will have the opportunity to explore, experiment, discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways enabling them to engage in higher-level thinking, such as problem-solving, predicting, analyzing, and evaluating, all deemed essential skills for the 21st-century learner.

This week is all about fun with arts and crafts. Our experienced art teachers provide a variety of creative activities using assorted materials such as pastels, colored pencils, watercolor paints, foam sheets, googly eyes, beads, fabric paint, and more! Our awesome teachers provide lots of encouragement, guidance and inspiration. At the end of the week, campers will have a portfolio of wonderful projects to take home.  

This week, young campers will create shadow puppets and putting on a Shadow Theater that uses their hands to act out a story. They will come up their own story through Light and shadow play , it is an amazing way for children to explore the world around them. Children will gain skills of public speaking and presentation through speak out their own stories of the shadow play. 

STEM, an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, is much more than just a trendy acronym. At our level 1 STEM Camp, we will introduce basic structure and lego play to our campers. As well as math and science to knock the door of STEM! 

This week ,we will bring our STEM camp into next level. At our level 2 STEM Camp, we will introduce basic coding and robotic play. Campers will do so in a way that makes them excited about coding and robotics, interested to discover what will happen when they combine this and that and inspired to learn about how and why things happen. In short, our specialty is that we make STEM fun, and leave kids amazed at what they can do!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel the world? Come travel with us to Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. Campers will make woven mats in Egypt, play ping pong in China, make shamrock crafts in Ireland, participate in Carreras de saco in Costa Rica and play football in Brazil!

Explore the highlights of China! Immerse your child in a Mandarin language environment to improve their basic Chinese writing (Pinyin), listening and speaking skills. The full immersion Mandarin language environment helps students to develop mandarin skills at a faster pace. Our Chinese language summer programs offer students a good chance to learn the Chinese language, experience traditional and modern Chinese culture through engaging activities in our immersion environment. 

This week program that entices children to maintain reading habits and exercise their reading abilities to keep up the skills they learned during the school year and encourages them to become lifelong readers. The goals of this summer reading program are to advance literacy and academic performance by engaging students in reading-related activities and supplying students with engaging and comprehensive reading materials. 

Towards the end of the summer, kids may want to get ready to go back to school!  At our academic camp, we will offer crash courses in writing, literacy, oral presentations, learning skills, and more. Students leave the course with a binder and a toolbox of ready-to-use skills. All campers will divided into different age group.
