Prior to joining the team at Newstead Academy, I spent several years working alongside children in an early childhood Montessori classroom. I have also worked with older children and adolescents in settings such as after-school programs and residential treatment centres. Through these varied experiences, I have come to learn that the first few years of a child’s life are a critical basis for their future development. My passion lies in building supportive, responsive relationships with children. I firmly believe that this is the foundation for learning and that children are capable of amazing things if given the right opportunities and a safe environment in which to explore.
