Hello! My name is Anu, and I bring over a decade of experience in childcare and education to the Newstead Academy Child Care team. I began my teaching career in 2002, I moved to Canada in July 2011 and have since embraced this country as my home. I hold a Masters degree and a teaching license from the College of Teachers since 2015, underscoring my deep commitment to education and professional development. After arriving in Canada, I navigated the transition to the Canadian educational system, obtaining my license and beginning my journey in childcare in 2014. Working within Ontario's Ministry of Early Years has been both a challenge and a joy, providing me with profound insights and experiences that enrich my approach to childcare.Having a teenage son of my own, I understand the dynamics of nurturing young minds. This personal experience is intertwined with my professional life, where I find working with children to be a powerful stress reliever and a source of endless motivation. I believe in the power of positivity—'When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, or better yet, a popsicle!' This philosophy helps me to foster an environment that is both educational and uplifting, encouraging children to transform challenges into opportunities.In my ten years here, I have enjoyed the ups and downs, and I cherish the ability to impact young lives positively. I am thrilled to continue this journey at Newstead Academy, where together, we can shape a better future by inspiring the next generation of creative and confident individuals.
